  • Bylaws of WCUMSAA：   《BYLAWS》

  • We are 《West China University of Medical Sciences Alumni Association - WCUMSAA》，Chinese name is 《华西校友会》. We are formed and registered on April 18th, 2016 in Washington State, USA, as a non-profit, non-political and non-religious international organization. WCUMSAA is organized exclusively for charitable purposes under section 501(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

    • West China University of Medical Sciences (Alma Mater) and its hospitals were originally fund-ed and established by the joint efforts of Christian missions from the United States, Canada and Great Britain since1892. To carry on charitable purposes, and to carry forward school’s extraor-dinary and rich history and culture, WCUMSAA will follow the school motto of “Benevolence & Wisdom; Loyalty & Courage; Honesty & Prudence; Diligence & Harmony” of the West China Union University (under other names: West China University, Sichuan Medical College, West China University of Medical Sciences, or West China Medical Center and its hospitals), to help patients with difficulties when and where they needed; to carry out medical and health-related charitable activities in China, especially in the southwestern region; to help and advance the per-sonal and professional development of the alumni; to facilitate and foster their communication and connection with each other and with the Alma Mater; to help and support the medical educa-tion program and advancement of the Alma Mater; to serve as a platform of information ex-change, mutual understanding and collaboration between the Alma Mater and other organiza-tions, and between China, USA and other countries, to improve better results and achievements in medical research and treatments of human disease.

  • There are an elected Board of Directors of the WCUMSAA, with one Chairperson of the Board and two vice Chairpersons. There are several committees in the Association to serve members: Committee for Professional Sciences，Literature, Art and Media Committee，Membership Committee，Financial Committee, and more to come in the near future. There is one President and several vice President in the WCUMSAA. The President shall be the chief executive officer of the Association. All Directors and Officers shall serve without compensation.
